Dr. Tod Ichishita, DC

Born and raised in Kona, Dr. Tod graduated with honors from Konawaena High School, where a football injury was severe enough that his medical doctor advised him to quit the sport. A local chiropractor, Dr. Alfred Valenzuela, helped him instead, and he was able to keep playing pain-free. That experience is what set him on this path. He went on to the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, graduating in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine in the top 2% of his class, before attending the prestigious Palmer Chiropractic College West in San Jose, California.

In 1999, Dr. Ichishita graduated from Palmer West with both academic and clinical honors. He then returned home to Kailua-Kona to open his practice, bringing a rare combination of chiropractic and sports-medicine training to how he understands the body.

Outside the office, he's stayed close to the sport that started it all, volunteering to coach for the Kona Crush Soccer Academy and serving as Head Coach of the Konawaena High School Boys Soccer team from 2017 to 2021. The rest of his time goes to his family.

"As a doctor, I take great pride in the high level of care my team delivers on a daily basis. Our hope is that you'll notice the incredibly friendly and inviting atmosphere the minute you walk in the door."
